We established archangels ARCHITECTS in 2009 in Brighton and have since expanded to Bristol and the Isle of Wight. We are a friendly, approachable and award-winning architectural practice with a mission to create cost-effective, creative, low-energy buildings that improve everyday living. As a local business, we have built strong relationships with a trusted group of consultants and contractors. Our projects range from developer housing to bespoke new build homes to extensions and alterations of existing homes.
We are a creative team with a shared passion for solving everyday challenges. Logic, order and beautiful moments in our every day bring joy, calm and inspiration. We don't resign ourselves to living in spaces that frustrate us and you shouldn't either. The gestures may be grand, but they don't have to be. Whatever the scale, they do need to be well thought through. We help you think things through and identify smart fixes for your everyday living.
We try to keep the design process simple. You share your lifestyle, challenges, ideas, priorities and dreams. We listen, guide, inspire, explore and collaborate. Together, we can create your dream home.

"Transforming Dark Spaces"
"archangels ARCHITECTS designed a loft for us, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. They also designed an extension at the back of the house, and cleverly reconfigured the downstairs layout. The work has completely transformed our home. The loft works extremely well for us, and all our three children now have their own bedroom. We are especially delighted with our extension. We now have a dream kitchen, with a lofty ceiling and lots of light. Everyone says 'Wow!' when they first see it. The design is so imaginative and makes the new space work to its absolute best. It looks even better in real life than on paper."

"Working with a Listed Building"
"I highly recommend archangels as Architects. They worked with me to design a new kitchen that not only suited a plan for a grade 2 listed building requirements but met all my specifications i.e. providing a kitchen / relaxing area which was light and opened up the house to the garden. They subsequently obtained planning permission and then helped to negotiate costs with the builder and carried out checks on site. aaA made me feel supported and comfortable throughout the whole planning and building process. I'm delighted with the conservatory extension and I'm glad that I used archangels ARCHITECTS."

"Victorian Flat Renovation"
"My ground floor Victorian flat in Kemp Town has some fabulous features but had been spoiled by internal walls put up by previous owners. With the help of aaA, I have been able to open up the entire floor area and create a fantastic kitchen accessible through an impressive arch and a tiled bathroom which, though actually smaller than the original, looks much bigger and incorporates valuable and attractive storage cupboards which were custom built. aaA helped me to navigate the complexities of the Planning Department (this is a Grade II Listed Building), provided plans for the lease holders, recommended a structural engineer and drew up a detailed Scope of Works statement from which building contractors could quote. aaA gave excellent value for money and I shall be using their expertise again this year when I tackle a new door and windows onto a raised garden terrace."

"Crafting a Timber Frame Home"
"archangels ARCHITECTS were selected for my eco new build via a positive recommendation. The design brief was tough; to design and gain planning for a new contemporary dwelling in the Surrey Green Belt. We specifically requested an open plan family friendly light and airy house that would enhance our woodland site.
